The Dhammapada

All the young monks are from Khamgar Druk Dharmakara College, who are being taught the basic Buddhist scripture and studies. They all are from poor background. They are from different regions i.e., Nepal, India and Tibet. Their families were unable to give educations and they were sent to our Institute. They need to be sponsored for their mental and Physical development.

Monies received goes into a common fund from which their requirements such as food, clothing, medicines and educational materials are provided for. A sponsor is sent a personal letter from the monk allocated, along with his photograph and a brief background. The monks appreciate receiving letters from their sponsors and enjoy writing in reply. Monks also write to their sponsors at Tibetan New Year (Losar).

Contribution of US$365, just US$1 per day, covers the living expenses for a whole year of one of the monks currently living and studying at Khamgar Druk Dharmakara College.
